Carbon Literacy and Climate Fresk Courses

As part of TYF's Better Business Experiences, we support individuals, communities and businesses to take action on climate change through our Carbon Literacy with Climate Fresk full-day course or Climate Fresk half-day course. 

Carbon Literacy with Climate Fresk    

 Full-day: 8 hours

This unique and thought-provoking session combines the Carbon Literacy and Climate Fresk approaches to deliver an insightful and rewarding experience. This practical workshop supports businesses and individuals on their net zero journey leaving everyone inspired and motivated to take climate positive action as role models of a zero carbon world.

Key learning outcomes

• Understanding of key competencies of climate leadership - including courage, collaboration, curiosity and visioning positive futures

• Upskilled, motivated and inspired individuals and teams with the skills, knowledge and confidence to be able to enact change

This course is approved and accredited through the Carbon Literacy Project, who define Carbon Literacy as "an awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis".

Delivery and pricing

Climate Fresk    

 Half-day: 34 hours

Climate Fresk

 Half-day: 3-4 hours

This practical and engaging session takes participants through the internationally-recognised Climate Fresk workshop using the Climate Fresk action cards combined with an exploration of individual and systemic actions, problem-solving, future visioning and leaving participants more aware, inspired and engaged.

Trainer: Chris Woodfield

The Carbon Literacy with Climate Fresk and Climate Fresk courses are led and delivered by Chris Woodfield, TYF's Better Business and Futures Lead. Chris is an experienced facilitator and business consultant specialising in nature connection, carbon literacy, blue health and supporting people and businesses be the best they can be.

Chris is an Alumni of Forum for the Future's School of System Change and the Centre for Alternative Technology's Graduate School of the Environment. Chris is a Carbon Literacy trainer and Climate Fresk facilitator as well as the Climate Fresk Coordinator for Wales, and the Co-Chair of the B Corp B Local Wales group. He's recently been delivering Carbon Literacy training and Climate Fresk workshops at the University of Plymouth and supporting businesses through the Low Carbon Devon project.
